JULIA ANGELARD SHOWS SOLID PACE IN CREMONA

  • Last weekend, the sixth round of the ROK Cup Italia, was marked by the solid pace of Julia Angelard.
  • 1The 3-year-old JSTR by Jastrzębski Racing rider qualified fourth in her group and seventh in the combined classification, as the highest-ranked representative of our country.
  • Unfortunately, after two good runs in the qualifying heats, the final did not go the way the Polish competitor had hoped.

Last weekend’s ROK Cup Italia round, held from July 18-20, 2025, provided the teenage Minardi Management protégé with an excellent opportunity to once again demonstrate her solid pace. Julia Angelard made it clear to her rivals during the qualifying session that she was a force to be reckoned with. With a time of under 50 seconds, the JSTR by Jastrzębski Racing driver finished fourth in her qualifying group, giving her seventh place overall in the qualifying results. Furthermore, she was not only the best Polish representative in the Italian karting series, but also the highest-ranked driver on the track, ahead of her rivals, supported by Iron Dames.

The ending is out of this fairy tale
After the competitors were divided into groups, Julia Angelard started both qualifying heats from fifth on the grid. Despite challenging opponents and an extremely tight field, the teenage Polish athlete finished both races in eighth and sixth place, respectively, raising hopes for an equally successful run in the final.

Unfortunately, considering penalties imposed on Julia and other drivers due to collisions during the heats, the JSTR by Jastrzębski Racing driver had to start from 12th on the grid, on the worse side of the track. A crowd in front of her immediately after the start of the race made the race even more difficult, causing Julia Angelard to drop several positions. However, the Minardi Management driver’s determination allowed her to make up several places, ultimately finishing 16th.

Julia Angelard: I was hoping for more
“The weekend started with a fantastic P4 in the qualifying group, which resulted in 7th place in the combined results. I gave it my all during both heats, but the kart didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for the pace. Starting from 12th position in the final was not definitely made easier fighting for the best possible positions. I’m glad that next weekend is a completely new challenge, and I hope that in two weeks I’ll be able to show what I’m truly capable of”, admits Julia Angelard.

The next round in which Julia Angelard will participate is the seventh ROK Cup Italia race weekend, scheduled for July 31st to August 3rd, 2025. This penultimate round of the racing series will once again take the competitors to the Franciacorta Karting Track in Castrezzato, Italy.
