JULIA ANGELARD IN F1 ACADEMY DISCOVER YOUR DRIVE PROGRAM

  • The F1 Academy series has announced the names of the drivers who will take part in the Discover Your Drive program in the 2026 season.
  • Among the OK-N Junior drivers who will represent F1 Academy in the Champions of the Future Academy series wearing unique suits with the series logo is 13-year-old Julia Angelard.
  • This is another distinction that the teenage competitor has received since the beginning of the year, after joining the ORLEN Motorsport Academy, the More Than Equal program, the Birel ART factory team and the Richard Mille Young Talent Academy.

The 2026 season is quickly approaching, and Julia Angelard already has plenty to celebrate. After being announced as a factory driver for the Birel ART team, a protégé of the Richard Mille Young Talent Academy, a participant in the More Than Equal project, and a member of the ORLEN Motorsport Academy, the teenage Polish driver today received another distinction, highlighting her achievements on the international stage. This time, the F1 Academy series recognized her performance, choosing Julia Angelard to be selected for the Discover Your Drive program.

One of the nine
Each year, the F1 Academy selects just nine female drivers – three each in the Mini, OK-N Junior and OK-N Senior categories – who then compete in the Champions of the Future Academy series, representing the Formula 1 affiliate series. In the 2026 season, Julia Angelard is also among the drivers selected from the OK-N Junior category.

Importantly, last season, all the competitors selected for the Discover Your Drive project finished in the top ten in their categories, which bodes well for this year’s competition. The competition will begin at the turn of February and March in Valencia (January 27-March 1), before moving on to Thessaloniki (May 29-31), Viterbo, Italy (July 10-12), Muscat, Oman (October 30-November 1), and two final rounds in the United Arab Emirates: Al Ain (November 23-25) and Al Forsan (November 30-December 2).

Julia Angelard: Proudly representing the F1 Academy
“The opportunity to drive under the patronage of a series every female racing driver dreams of is a great honor. I will proudly represent the F1 Academy and the Discover Your Drive program. I’m glad that my results last year caught the attention of decision-makers in so many programs – I hope that this year’s season with the new team will be just as good, or maybe even better, which will allow me to become an even better driver and take another step towards the F1 Academy and world-class competition in single-seaters,” admits the Minardi Management powered by Dag Ltd. protégé.
