- After finishing fourth in Sunday’s final in Thessaloniki, Julia Angelard returns to competition as part of the Champions of the Future Academy.
- This time, the 14-year-old will take part in the third round of the series, scheduled for July 10-12, 2026 in Viterbo, Italy.
- Wind in the sails of a teenage Polish girl gives her triumph during the Polish Karting Championships round at the Poznań Circuit, as she was the first woman to achieve it in 15 years.
After a quick and successful visit to Poland, Julia Angelard is heading abroad again. The ORLEN Motorsport Academy and More Than Equal program protégé will compete in the third round of the Champions of the Future Academy series in just a few days. The Polish teenager has spent the last few days not only training for the upcoming competition, but also as part of her “transition from karting to cars” program – prepared and implemented by More than Equal –gaining new experience behind the wheel of a Ginetta and a Formula 4 car.
Changes to the calendar
At the same time, the Champions of the Future Academy series revised its calendar, which originally included three more rounds in the Middle East. Given the uncertain geopolitical situation, the series’ management modified its plans – as a result, Julia Angelard will participate in two more COTFA rounds in the 2026 season after Viterbo. The first of these will take place on September 4-6, 2026 in Valencia, at the Aspar Circuit, while the fifth and final round of the competition will take place on November 13-15 at the Franciacorta Karting Track, well-known to Julia from her time competing in the ROK Cup Italia.
Julia Angelard: The last month was a bit crazy
“Although this whole year has been full of events and twists, the last month was a bit crazy – winning the Polish Karting Championship, finishing the school year, testing with a Ginetta and then a Formula 4 car. In June, I spent a total of 20 days at the track and evaluation camp, and in the first half of the year, I flew over 50 times. Now I had a few days to rest at home and it’s time to get back to competing at the highest level. I’m looking forward to the COTFA round in Viterbo, as well as the subsequent rounds in Valencia and Franciacorta. It’s always nice to return to Italy, where I raced last season in the ROK Cup Italia, while the Aspar Circuit will be a completely new track for me. Well, gathering new experiences has been my new hobby lately,” jokes the Minardi Management powered by Dag Ltd. protégé.
