Valencia tested Vanesa in every possible way today.

After a positive warm-up (P11), qualifying became very difficult. With half of the grid stuck in the pit lane and a delay getting out, she only managed one clear lap, finishing P14.

Starting from the back is never easy. In Heat 1 she fought hard to P15. In Heat 2, contact forced her off track and she hurt her hand, ending that race early. After the heats, she was P22 overall.

In the Final, Vanesa delivered a strong recovery drive, but another contact pushed her out and ended her race prematurely. She also took another hit on her already sore hand and went to the doctors for checks.

Not the outcome she deserved, but her fighting spirit never stopped. Round 1 is done — and she’ll come back stronger 💙

What a special feeling to finally get the season started! 💜🏁

BRODI COOPER DOWLING JOINS MINARDI MANAGEMENT POWERED BY DAG LTD

The twelve-year-old driver from South Africa competed in last season’s Rotax Mini Max National Championship, winning the competition. In addition, Brodi finished second in the Rotax Max Challenge in Sakhir and took part in four rounds of the Champions of the Future Academy, in Slovakia, Al Ain, Valencia and Portimao .

In 2024, he won the South African Rotax Mini Max Regional Championship and was also named Rookie of the Year. In 2023, he had already stood out by winning the South African Rotax Micro Max Regional Championship, also accompanied by the Rookie of the Year title. Brodi is shaping up to be one of the most talented and exciting karters on the international scene.

Brodi represents exactly the profile of young international talent we want to invest in: determination, concrete results, and a mindset already focused on continuous growth.
