JULIA ANGELARD FIGHTS FOR THE PODIUM OF THE POLISH KARTING CHAMPIONSHIPS

This weekend we will finally find out the Polish Karting Champions in each category.
The last KMP competition this season will be held on September 18-20, 2026 at the Biłgoraj Autodrome.
14-year-old Julia Angelard is still in contention for a podium finish in the OK Junior category.

In just a few days, we’ll find out which riders will claim the prestigious title of Polish Karting Champion. Although the battle for the top step of the podium in some categories has already been decided in Słomczyn, the question of who will be the Polish Vice-Champion and Second Vice-Champion remains open. Among the riders vying for a podium spot in the Junior OK category is the winner of the round at Tor Poznań – 14-year-old Julia Angelard, competing for the MG Racing Team.

A fast and technical track, the perfect place for the final

The modernized Autodrom Biłgoraj racing track, 1,201 meters long and ranging from 8 to 14.5 meters wide, is one of the most modern and fastest karting facilities in Europe. A carefully thought-out configuration of fast bends, technical turns, and straights allows drivers to reach top speeds of up to 130 km/h. The qualifying session will undoubtedly play a crucial role this weekend, defining the starting grid for the first race, as overtaking rivals is very difficult on this track.

The technical parameters of the track in Biłgoraj and the highest standard of safety measures are undoubtedly proof that the entire Polish Karting Championships can engage in intense wheel-to-wheel combat on a demanding, yet fast track, and the truly best in each category will win.

With one round remaining in the championship, and after deducting each driver’s four worst results, Julia Angelard currently sits third overall in the Junior OK category. Based on net points, she has 132 points, so that places her 20 points behind the second driver and just three points ahead of her fourth-place rival.

My goal is to achieve the best possible result, although it’s hard to predict what scenario the Biłgoraj Autodrom and the weather will have in store for us. I know I’m capable of a very good pace, as I demonstrated in Poznań. All that’s left is to find my way around the track, find the right kart settings, and give it my all. Five drivers on track, strong results and further progress across GT and international karting

Race Weekend 38 once again took DAG Management across several international stages, with five drivers competing in Spain, Poland, Portugal and Hungary in very different disciplines and environments: from the prestigious 24H of Barcelona to Touring Car and Endurance competition, as well as national and Rotax karting championships.

It was a weekend that perfectly reflected how motorsport is made not only of results, speed and podiums, but also of unexpected challenges, endurance, the ability to react and continuous development. Our five drivers faced very different situations and, once again, each of them gave us reasons to be satisfied and proud.

Markas Šilkūnas dominated his class in Poland, taking pole position and three class victories across the BMW Turbo Cup and Endurance. Brodi Cooper Dowling produced an excellent progression in Portimão all the way to P3 in Final 3. Mia Zanki showed front-running pace in Budapest with P1 in practice, Warm-Up and qualifying before finishing the Final on the podium. Julia Angelard remained consistently among the leading positions in Poland, while Miguel M. Garcia faced the demanding 24H of Barcelona until an engine failure ended the race after 137 laps.

For DAG Management, every weekend is first and foremost part of a longer journey. We are grateful to our drivers for their commitment and professionalism, to their families for their trust, and to the teams, mechanics, engineers, coaches and partners who make this work possible. Sometimes it is asking whether we should walk through it at all.

A manager should bring experience, perspective, contacts and clarity — but the career will always belong to the driver.

Last week, our driver Milla Sjöstrand took part in the F1 Academy Rookie Test in Navarra — an incredible opportunity and an important milestone in her young racing career.

And we could not be prouder of her.

Milla has earned every step of this journey through talent, determination, discipline and an extraordinary willingness to learn and improve.

We have watched her grow, work, fight for opportunities and never stop believing in where she wants to go.

Being selected to participate in the F1 Academy Rookie Test was another important recognition of that journey — and seeing her there made us incredibly proud and grateful to be part of it.

More girls are entering karting. More are competing at international level. More opportunities are being created. And, perhaps most importantly, a new generation is growing up seeing something that once seemed unusual as completely normal.

A girl behind the wheel.

But getting onto the grid is only the beginning.

In our latest DAG Management editorial in collaboration with Vroom, we look beyond the headlines and ask the more difficult questions:

Why do so many female careers still stall in the middle of the motorsport ladder?

What happens when karting talent needs to become a professional career?

And what really needs to change before we see a woman not only racing in Formula 1 — but competing to win?

So perhaps we shouldn’t ask:

„When will a woman reach F1?“

Perhaps we should ask:

„What do we need to do TODAY to make it possible?“

Because the most important moment may eventually be the day we stop talking about „a female driver“ altogether — and simply talk about her talent, her results and her career. 🏁

Nine drivers on track, five trophies and a weekend of progress across international competition

Another extremely intense race weekend for DAG Management, with nine drivers competing across karting and single-seaters in five different events: Champions of the Future at Sarno, F4 CEZ at Brno, the FIA Arrive & Drive Asia-Pacific Championship in Macau, ROK Cup at Lonato and the Valencian Karting Championship at Aspar.

Junior and Senior categories in international karting, a major FIA event in Asia and two young drivers continuing their development in Formula 4.

The sporting result includes five trophies, all earned by Markas Šilkūnas at Brno through an exceptionally consistent weekend: P3 overall and P1 Rookie in Race 2, P3 overall and P2 Rookie in Race 3, and P3 Rookie in the Final. Yet the value of the weekend goes far beyond the trophies.

As always, our sincere thanks go to the drivers, their families, teams, mechanics, engineers, coaches and partners working alongside us. Every result is the product of collective effort, and every weekend, regardless of the final position, represents another step forward in the journey we are building together.

BENJAMIN WESTWOOD – OK - Front-running speed in practice and a place in the Final

MATTEO GALLO – OK - Consistent progression through the heats and valuable experience at this level

MIO OLERT – #52 - Clear progress, P1 in Free Practice and a weekend ended by a major accident

RIVAAN DEV PREETHAM – JUNIOR - P4 in the Final and a new event record of 47.375

MIA ZANKI – JUNIOR ROK - P3 overall in qualifying in a weekend affected by a lack of engine power

NILAS MALIK – JUNIOR - Two strong recoveries: P6 and P5 in the races
