It was a thrilling first day at Zuera for Benjamin Westwood and Team Pantano, capped off by a solid qualifying result in P6. Benji was on track for an even better position, holding third place just moments before the session ended. Unfortunately, he encountered traffic on his final lap, preventing him from improving his time and resulting in a slip to P6.

🏁 As we gear up for the second round of the Italian ACI Karting Championship at the Leopard Circuit in Viterbo from May 22 to 25, we are thrilled to announce that a record-breaking 260 drivers have signed up across the MINI, OK-NJ, OK-N, and KZ2 categories! This remarkable increase highlights the growing enthusiasm and participation in this year’s championship.

Every category has seen an uptick, but the most significant growth has been in the OK-N Junior category, which has nearly reached 70 drivers. Combined with the OK-N category, we have a total of 140 drivers, marking a new record for these two categories established by ACI Sport in 2023.

Here’s the schedule for the Leopard Circuit in Viterbo:
- Thursday, May 22: Free Practice
- Friday, May 23: Free Practice, Official Free Practice, and Qualifying Sessions
- Saturday, May 24: Warm-up and Qualification Heats

Our drivers faced numerous challenges on the track, showcasing their resilience and determination. It was Daniele Schillaci’s first WSK event of the season, and despite navigating a tough weekend filled with obstacles, he secured a commendable 19th-place finish in the OK-N Class. Every experience brings valuable lessons, and we have full faith that Daniele will come back stronger!

Vanesa Silkunaite also demonstrated immense courage in the OK-J Class. Although the results didn’t reflect her dedication, finishing 29th, her spirit and tenacity are truly admirable. Remember, every challenge you encounter shapes you as a driver, Vanesa, and we are proud of how you pushed through!

Markas Silkunas showed incredible improvement despite a rocky start. After a challenging qualifying session, he fought back in the heats and achieved an impressive 8th place finish in the OK Class. Your resilience and ability to adapt are inspirational, Markas!

It was a weekend full of emotions and valuable insights for our drivers competing in the WSK Euro Series in Viterbo and the Nordic Aquila Formula 1000 Championship in Sweden. There were challenging moments, but also signs of growth, determination, and encouraging progress ahead of the upcoming events of the season.

Daniele Schillaci, Vanesa Silkunaite, and Markas Silkunas showcased their dedication on the Viterbo track, each with unique stories and results but united by their drive to improve. Across Europe, Deven Grabko continued his growth in his debut season in single-seaters, gathering valuable data and experience at the Mittsverigebanan circuit.

The first two heats were challenging for him, but he turned his weekend around in the third heat with strong recoveries. It was a weekend of improvement for Markas, despite being hampered by the initial heats. He concluded the weekend in 8th place.

Deven Grabko, in the Nordic Aquila Formula 1000 Championship at Mittsverigebanan (Sweden)

It was a challenging start to the weekend for Deven, due to a technical issue during qualifying that prevented him from completing the session, resulting in a P12 finish. The first two races were quite consistent, both ending in the same starting position. However, in Race 3, Deven managed to climb to 9th place.
