FIRST RACE WEEKEND FOR MATTIA BUCCI
The young driver from Abruzzo will inaugurate the 2026 season this week in Imola
Everything is ready for the green light to officially kick off Mattia Bucci’s 2026 season. The first race weekend of the CIGT Sprint, held on the historic Imola track, marks the beginning of a new professional chapter for the young driver from Pescara, who will compete for the first time in a Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 for the DL Racing team.
“I can’t wait to get back on track for the first race weekend of the year. I’ve worked so hard over this winter break to be as ready as possible for the start of the season. We’ve worked really well with the team and Pietro in the tests in preparation for the championship, and I’m sure that by continuing to work in this direction, we’ll bring home excellent results,” said Mattia.
“We’re ready to capitalize on the work we’ve done so far to compete at the highest level in this series and give it our all,” confirmed his teammate Pietro Agoglia. After months of preparation and a final test session at Misano, the duo is ready to embark on this new adventure, both in the Sprint and Endurance series.
The three free practice sessions will be held on Friday at 11:50 a.m., 4:50 p.m., and 7:05 p.m. Qualifying will take place on Saturday at 9:55 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. The first race will take place at 5:30 p.m. the same day, followed by Race 2 at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. The events will be available to follow on the official CIGT channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-QsHUuslO4iZekAeBoskgg/featured.
