SOOFI CONTINUES TO SHINE, IAME WARRIOR FINAL FOR MALIK AND WESTWOOD
Another intense and emotional weekend for our drivers competing across Bahrain and Valencia. From the Rotax Max Challenge to the IAME Warrior Final, our boys faced changing conditions, unexpected setbacks, and close battles, demonstrating strong character and significant progress.
Tariq Soofi – P6 – Rotax Max Challenge, Bahrain
Second consecutive weekend on track for Tariq Soofi, this time competing in Bahrain in the Rotax Max Challenge. It was a weekend of two halves for the young Bahraini driver, who was able to showcase all his talent despite the difficulties faced. Tariq started with great determination, securing pole position and victory in the Super Heat. A result achieved thanks to speed and precision, unfortunately compromised by a disqualification due to a technical issue unrelated to on-track conduct, which was later acknowledged as incorrect by the race officials at the end of the event. The decision forced him to start from the back of the grid in the final.
Despite this setback, Tariq reacted with maturity and grit: he climbed back up to third place during the race, only to be involved in contact with another driver, which sent him once again to the back of the field. Refusing to give up, he pushed forward and closed with an excellent sixth place.
Tariq’s weekend was therefore outstanding in terms of performance and determination. The young driver confirmed once again that he is among the most talented and competitive in the field, showing an exemplary reaction—especially at his age. While there is some regret for the missed result, Tariq can look back at the weekend with pride and confidence for the upcoming events. The speed is there, and the growth continues.
Benjamin Westwood – DNQ – IAME Warrior Final 2025, Valencia (Spain)
Benjamin Westwood was the first of our drivers to hit the track in Spain for the 2025 IAME Warrior Final. The weekend began in the best possible way, with dry track conditions suggesting that a strong performance was on the cards. However, the weather quickly changed: rain and a less-than-optimal tire choice significantly complicated the situation.
A qualifying session below expectations forced him to start from the back, making it difficult to mount a concrete comeback in the following races. Despite his effort and determination, he was unable to recover meaningful positions.
Benji leaves Valencia with some regret, but also with valuable lessons that will support his development. Now, the focus moves to the next event: the WSK Finals in Cremona, where he will give his all to achieve the best possible result.
Nilas Malik – P17 – IAME Warrior Final 2025, Valencia (Spain)
Wrapping up the weekend in Valencia was Nilas Malik. The young Danish driver delivered his best performance of the season, showing clear improvement and strong determination. From the first heats, Nilas stood out with bold starts and quality overtakes, finally managing to express his full potential. However, a contact in the pre-final compromised his situation, forcing him to start the final from 22nd position. Despite the setback, Malik did not give up: with a solid comeback, he climbed up to 15th place, later classified as 17th due to a small penalty.
Nilas nevertheless confirmed the abilities that insiders have recognized for some time, leaving very positive impressions ahead of next season. There is some regret for the pre-final, which could have given him a better starting position, but the work carried out was convincing: the direction is definitely the right one.
