JULIA ANGELARD ON HER WAY TO THE SECOND ROUND OF THE WSK FINAL CUP AT THE CREMONA KARTING
- This weekend, Julia Angelard will compete in the second of three rounds of the WSK Final Cup series. This time, the venue will be Cremona Karting.
- The 13-year-old Minardi Management protégé, after advancing to the final race in the previous round, is hoping for an equally fruitful race.
- As the teenage Polish woman admits, the most important thing is proper preparation for competition in the upcoming season.
After a successful first round of the WSK Final Cup series at the Franciacorta circuit, Julia Angelard is optimistic about returning to Italian soil. In just a few days, the 13-year-old Minardi Management protégé – along with 368 other competitors – will compete in the second round of the Final Cup. This time, a field of over 70 OK Junior drivers, comprised of top drivers from around the world, will arrive at the Cremona Circuit, a track well-known to the driver for this year’s ROK Cup Italia series and the FIA Karting World Cup.
Make good use of the opportunity
A return visit to the same karting track is a great opportunity to utilize her acquired skills and, together with the Ward Racing team, test herself against the strong field of the OK Junior category. The past debut round at this level, culminating in a spot in the final heat, certainly adds to the excitement, but Julia Angelard’s main goal is to prepare herself as best as possible for the upcoming season.
During the ROK Cup Italia round held in July, Julia Angelard finished sixteenth out of 36 competitors in the final heat – after finishing sixth and eighth in the earlier qualifying heats. This excellent result from a few months ago, combined with her solid form during the FIA Karting World Cup and the fruitful testing she conducted with her new team, certainly gives the teenage driver a boost.
Julia Angelard: I’m optimistic about this weekend
“I’ve already completed testing with the team at this track, so I’m optimistic about what awaits me this weekend. Although the forecast for Sunday predicts rain, for me that means one thing – a chance to test myself in completely different conditions. I’m hoping that the experience I’ve gained during this round will impact my form in the 2026 season, which I’m already looking forward to,” emphasizes Julia Angelard.
