JULIA ANGELARD IS THE FOURTH COMPETITOR IN THE POLISH KARTING CHAMPIONSHIPS!

  • Last weekend and the final round of the Polish Karting Championships, held at the Biłgoraj Autodrome, brought results in all age categories.
  • 14-year-old Julia Angelard maintained excellent consistency at the Biłgoraj Autodrome, finishing in the top six in each race (P5, P6, P4, P5).
  • Thanks to the points collected during four rounds of the Polish Karting Championship, Julia Angelard became the fourth competitor in the Junior OK category in the Polish Karting Championship, which underlines her belonging to the top.

The final, fourth round of the Polish Karting Championships at the Autodrom Biłgoraj track capped a fantastic season for Julia Angelard. The MG Racing Team representative displayed a consistent, strong pace throughout both days of competition, finishing 6th in the individual standings. This result allowed the young driver to secure a commanding 4th place overall in the series.

The rivalry  at the demanding Biłgoraj track was a battle for fractions of a second from the start. The ORLEN Motorsport Academy protégé began Saturday’s competition with a strong qualifying run, securing 4th place on the grid. In the first race, the teenage Polish driver finished fifth, and in the second race, she finished 6th, accumulating valuable points for the season standings.

A fierce fight to the last meters

Sunday’s competition brought another exciting series of duels at the top of the field. Julia Angelard flawlessly utilized her kart’s strengths and mature racing tactics. In Race 3, she narrowly missed the podium, crossing the finish line in a respectable 4th position. In the final, fourth race of the weekend, she again finished in the top five, securing 6th place in the individual standings of the Biłgoraj competition.

The success in the final round was the culmination of hard work by the entire MG Racing Team, as well as by the driver herself, who demonstrated mature and uncompromising racing throughout the season. This characteristic of her throughout the season was also demonstrated during the final round. In all races in Biłgoraj, Julia Angelard finished among the very top (P4 in qualifying, followed by P5, P6, P4, P5).

Moreover, the 4th place in the general classification of the KMP season confirms her belonging to top players, and it was really close to being able to talk about a historic, first appearance of a female athlete on the championship podium in many years.

Julia Angelard: the work of the entire team brought results

“I’m not entirely happy with this result. I know that 4th place is a big achievement for me, especially since many of the competitors successfully race in various international series. However, I came to Biłgoraj expecting a better result, because second place overall was within my reach. The Biłgoraj track is characterized by not many overtaking opportunities, so the time trial result and starting position are really important. It’s also a track I’ve never raced on before,” admits the teenage competitor.

“Despite this, fourth place overall in the Polish Karting Championship is a huge success for me and a reward for the hard work we put in together with the entire MG Racing Team. I would like to thank my engineers, mechanics, partners, and fans for their invaluable support throughout this year. Your work has paid off. I also want to thank the ORLEN Motorsport Academy and the Polish Automobile and Motorcycle Federation for their support this season,” emphasized Julia Angelard.

Constant development, consistency, determination and maturity

“I consider this season a resounding success. The greatest value for me is the constant development of the team and riders, which I observe with each round – this is much more important to us than just a podium finish in the general classification. We know exactly what we still need to work on, and once we refine all the details over time, we will be incredibly fast,” added Michał Grzyb, team principal of MG Racing Team.

“Julia’s fourth place in the Polish Karting Championship makes us extremely proud, especially because it reflects the consistency, determination and maturity she has shown throughout the entire season. In Biłgoraj once again, she fought at the front in every race, and knowing how close she was to a championship podium only reinforces what we already believe: Julia has an extraordinary talent and enormous potential. At only 14, she already possesses qualities that are very special to see in such a young driver, and I am deeply convinced that this is only the beginning of a very important journey for her in motorsport. We are incredibly proud to represent her and to accompany her step by step towards the future she deserves,” emphasized Dorothea Schulz from DAG Management.

The Polish Karting Championship season has come to an end, and Julia Angelard’s high position in the final standings provides her with an excellent foundation for further racing challenges on the international stage.
